In the land of Australia
the koala bears stay.
They're awake at night
and sleep most of the day.
When koalas are thirsty
They climb high in trees
and get water
from eucalyptus leaves.
Once Sam, a koala who lived there
saw fire around her everywhere.
The leaves were burning
in the bush one day
so she began to walk
and started to pray.
Some firemen saw the sad little bear.
They had lots of love to share.
Sam showed her hurt hand
so they could see.
She looked at fire fighter
David Tree
and drank from his bottle gratefully.

Koala Sam was lost
We looked both high and low
Before we knew
The darkness grew
And we would have to go
Micky cried till dawn
