Poetry: At odds with myself

by Frank Deutschen

Created on: February 16, 2009

Often, there are two, two of me

Personalities changing and clashing

Directions confused and lines very blurred.

I might say one thing and then do another.

I have this terminal disease of not being able to make

up my mind. Making commitments, but always failing.

Switching the course in midstream.

Never is easy to maintain a relationship as I never seem to

be able to give true love.

I look in a mirror trying to see me, but

there are usually two sides and it's hard to determine which

story is right. I could only hope

for this burden of pain to be eased and that I find my

true soul!
