Tucked away in the Southern Oregon Cascades, Crater Lake is a sparkling sapphire in an emerald setting. Much less developed than many of our National Parks, a visit to Crater Lake is a step back in time. As one might expect, in-park lodging options are limited. However, out-of-park lodging options abound.
INSIDE THE PARK
Because Crater Lake National Park is all about the lake, a stay at CRATER LAKE LODGE located at the Rim Village provides the best front and center location. This historic lodge offers 71 completely renovated rooms. Open from May to October, Crater Lake Lodge retains its historic atmosphere while providing modern comfort.
Open June through September, MAZAMA VILLAGE MOTOR INN is another option. Located seven miles south of the lake, these rustic cabins offer one or two beds and a private bathroom. They are an appropriate lodging option in a Park which focuses on pure nature.
Crater Lake National Park offers one large RV park near its south entrance for those traveling with home in tow. THE MAZAMA VILLAGE CAMPGROUND has 212 sites for tents and recreational vehicles.
A smaller campground located to the southeast, LOST CREEK CAMPGROUND has 16 tent sites. While no hookups are offered, the campground does have running water and flush toilets.
While Crater Lake is the obvious attraction, lodging within the Park can be pricy and often fills quickly. Fortunately, the Southern Oregon Cascades are home to outstanding beauty, friendly people, and numerous lodging opportunities

SOUTHEAST
Just outside the Park, recreational vehicle owners will find the area's only Big Rig' park. With 57 paved sites, PROSPECT RV PARK (aka Crater Lake RV Park) offers big city comfort in the deep woods. Full hookups, WiFi, and Direct TV are just a few of their amenities. In addition, park guests can fish, swim, or enjoy the hiking trails just outside their RV door.
One mile south of the Park boundary visitors will find WILSON'S COTTAGES. These 10 rustic cabins offer a unique lodging option close to the Park. Furthermore, 6 cabins are available in the winter. Combine this with their cross country ski rentals, and you have the perfect recipe for a unique winter getaway.
Fort Klamath is only 6 miles from the Park's border. This small town, located along Highway 138, has four small motels. MELITA'S MOTEL AND CAFE, SPORTSMAN'S MOTEL, and ASPEN INN MOTEL offer motel rooms. JO'S MOTEL AND CAMPGROUND has motel rooms and an RV Park.
