Creation
Thump-thump! Thump-thump!
A magical being blessed and beautiful, dances
In the womb.
Nurturing walls have grown with excitement
Kicking with wonder and fascination.
Passion and pleasure,
Screams “OH God!” filled the room.
Prayers to the Lord
For a little angel were said each night.
Thump-thump! Thump-thump!
The heart quickens and the nurse
Says “Push!”
Screams “Oh God!” fill the room
And a little angel enters
Quivering a tiny smile.
