I can think of more than 10 things men should know about women but if we need to squeeze it all into this amount, let's put in what's necessary to get along at least on the most basic level. We are not really that difficult to figure out. Okay, that's not true. We are complex. But that's because we are highly intelligent beings and the sooner you agree with us, the better off you will be, which by the way is number 11 on the list but we are only allowed 10 here, so pretend you didn't see that and read on.

1. When we touch you, it doesn't mean we want to have sex with you. It just means we like to touch and be touched, with maybe some kissing, but that's it. You will know if we want sex.

2. If you ask us "What's wrong?" and we answer with "Nothing", it's probably something. You will need to grab a drink because it will be a long night to find out why. Be patient. Sometimes we can't get it all out and need you to sit there and just be patient with our story. Don't rush us.

3. Women love romance just like in the movies. We believe all that sappy stuff, so please indulge us. Buying flowers for no reason is a sure way to get into our good graces, apart from other things.

4. We love a man who is sensitive so if you are watching a sad movie with us and feel like crying, don't hide it. We appreciate it. It shows us you care about the same things we do and have empathy, which is important.

5. You don't have to call us 10 times a day to say you love us. Being too nice or too obsessive will turn us off and eventually suffocate us. You can show interest without going overboard.

6. Don't be cheap when it comes to us. If you are willing to spend more than $50 on shiny blue lights for your car, you can spend that much for us. We know how much you spend on your car, by the way.

7. Please don't look at other women when you are with us. It's disrespectful and unless you don't mind us doing that to you, stop doing it. We are your universes, remember?

8. If we want to talk to you about our day, it's because we want to talk to you. Please listen to what we are saying and put down that remote! No, I mean right now, put it down! I'm talking. Did you not hear a word I just said?

9. If we have been dating for over a year, it's time to talk about the C word. No, not that one, we mean commitment. Grow up or leave. We have eggs and they can be dangerous if not used before the age of 37.

10. Finally, when it comes to sex, ladies first. Do I need to say more?
