Poetry: You walked into my life

by Lucinda Price

Created on: February 16, 2009

Me~
traces beneath
of what used to be
dancing wild
free I was~
looking for a greater cause
in humanity
bound by chains

Your words find my depth
yet a stand with sword and staff
Yet laying down my shield
As I yield, passions of life consume my being
and I can no longer resist
The very thought of your kiss
sending my heart on a journey
with visions of your shadow
beckoning
My walls tremble
as the first stone falls
with your hearts pulse
emotions left in each crevis
Being drawn out in a clovered pasture
I follow like a lost sheep
weary, tired and weak
Oh, how to the Earth I must seem meek
yet in your eyes
I find infinity

Shorelines crashing with waves
decisions made
my spirit gains
strength and endurance
as the under current tries to pull me down
I fight until I find ground
to stand upon
and the rock in which I rest my head
Is you~ the essence of truth you bring
And the loving way
a bouquet of emotions you reveal

So is this real or just the most tender dream
my heart has ever felt?
