How is it that we as a people in these great big United States just can't get this eat to live physiology right? Why are we a society of diseased and obese people? Even when we are only 20 pounds overweight we are classified as obese because of our body to fat ratio, our BMI.
We all know because of mass media how we should be eating to take the best care of our bodies. There are thousands of books and articles by as many doctors and/or nutritionists in this country. But we still defy logic by putting dangerous, disease contributing man made substances into our bodies then expect to stay young and beautiful.
Get control of your self, change your lifestyle, be an example to others. Be a leader. It really is fairly simple. Eat real food. Foods made from real, grown from the ground, ingredients. We are it seems a lazy people because this is an easy fix. We know the difference so all it would take is to make a conscious effort to eat more complexe carbohydrates and whole grains. You want to stay young and beautiful live to be old and stay healthy. We should all want this. Eat more green and red vegetables, complex carbs, whole grains which burn slowly therefore they do not raise insulin levels. A high insulin level caused by the afternoon candy bar or cup of coffee alerts your liver to make more glucose which goes to your cells which are already full of unused energy which than reroutes the glucose to fat cells where it stays and is not burned off as energy but is stored as fat. You must exercise to burn that extra fat from the body. But again we are lazy. We go to work or school which in itself is tiring because we are carrying extra weight around. We then go home to cook something quick but not healthy like frozen dinners, or the easy one, fast food. Then we sit in front of the television. So there's all that time spent filling up on poison and no time for exercise. Does this make any sense? It doesn't and we know it. Again, a lazy people.
It seems diabetes is the largest food type of disease in this country. Our children are dieing from a disease that is avoidable. It is a food related disease. Read any material published by Dr. Diane Schwarzbein. (The Schwaszbein Principle) This is a diabetic's bible. Dr. Schwarzbein is one of our country's leading Endocrinologists. Have you seen the children on television shows that are obese, their parents searching for help? They are 300/400 pounds of soda, pizza and potato chips. When we get it together and decide not to
