Don't Stop The Things

Just lying in my bed , thinking. about you.
What keeps me here, I haven't got a clue.
If I had good sense, I would get up and I'd follow you.
So what keeps me here , I just wish I knew.

The clock is ticking, I know, I have to go.
To that dead end job, (that makes me feel so low.)
My roots are deep, deep into the ground.
The country life, that gives us this sound.

Don't stop the things, that put this smile upon my face.
You do it so well, and there is no disgrace.
Don't stop the things, that put this smile upon my face.
I can't let go, you send me to outer space.

I'm in my car, I am driving home, (with my radio on.)
Driving home, driving home to you.
Why can't those singers ever get it straight?
Traffic's bad I hope I am not late!

These endless songs that never have a point.
Those crazy rhythms , that put me out of joint.
You are standing there with not much on.
You've talked me in, on my cell phone.
