Interviews can be quite a scary experience. You feel as if you are being put on the spot for nearly an hour. You are asked question after question by a group of people you don't know and your ability to do the job as well as your personality is judged throughout the entire session.
On top of that you really want or need this job. With your nerves being on edge you are probably quite relieved when the interviewer finally indicates that all the questions have been asked unless you have any questions on your own. It is quite understandable that you can't think of anything and just want to say thank you and get out of there.
However, asking your own questions is an important part of a job interview because your questions help you to understand if the job is really right for you and they show the interviewer that you are really interested in the job. It is of little use to you to land the job and then to realize that you absolutely hate working there.
Questions could include:
- What would my reporting line be in this job?
- I think it very important that different departments work closely together. Would you say this is currently a strong belief in your company?
- What is more important in your point of view: That the required results are achieved or that the correct process is followed?
- I am used to work very self motivated and pride myself on my drive. Does your company allow staff to work independently as long as the results are achieved or is close supervision very important?
* Questions about the job
You also should be sure about what the job entails. This is your opportunity to question specific requirements of the job based
