I was so happy to find this opportunity to write.

Before I begin, it is not to be misconstrued that
I think I am perfect. Far from it. I strive to be
what God wants me to be and as the Bible so
clearly says, "I fall short".

And with that, I who never put myself in a position
of being a professional minister to lead people to Christ, submit
this writing.

For years I have been saying that Joel Osteen is

nothing more than a Motivational Speaker. I could
hardly call him a Bible Believing Minister.

I have tried to get my brother into church for years
without any luck. If the pastor is really dynamic and
honest and preaches From The Bible, my brother doesn't
like him/her. The truth hurts!

Those of us who seek the truth and desire to learn and
grow in our spiritual walk with Jesus want to know all we
can and will do what it takes to find what we need to do.

I have watch Joel Osteen on so many occasions thinking
that perhaps I just caught him on an "off day". But as
far as I can tell, they were all "off days".

My minister in Dallas was such a great teacher. I learned
something of value in every single sermon. I can
honestly say that I have never learned anything of
biblical importance by listening to Mr. Osteen.

I would have to say my doubts about Mr. Osteen were
confirmed when my brother, (not a real believer) said
he woud go to church if Joel Osteen were the preacher.

Well, of course he would. He would never hear anything
about confessing his sin or repenting. He would think
that as long as he had a positive attitude (which he
doesn't) that he would have a place in Heaven! He
doesn't want to HEAR the TRUTH! And by listening
to Osteen, he won't have to worry about ever hearing
it.

That's
the scary thing. If one who had never heard the
Gospel were to listen to Joel Osteen and never hear
the true Word of God from another minister, their life
with the Lord would never come to exist.

Where are the alter calls? Where is the sinner's prayer?

Where is the Holy Scripture?

Where is Jesus in Mr. Osteen's sermons?

How could anyone POSSIBLY come to know the Lord,
how to worship Him and how to have Him in their
lives by listening to an "uplifting sermon" that does
not include any of these things.

In my humble opinion, ministers like Joel Osteen
must make God weep with despair. They have truly
missed the mark and do not have the calling.

It is deeply saddening to me to think of how many
souls will be lost due to the so called preaching of
Mr. Joel Osteen.

Yeah, he's popular alright. But so is Jerry Springer, and
I wouldn't go to him for Christian learning either.
