Somehow  Americans have succeeded in believing that sports and music are simply entertainment. Maybe because to see the best performer of each requires paying for admission. Maybe it is because both are used as a tool for relieving stress, relaxing and negating emotional  responsibility. We buy a ticket or put on a CD and somehow this act may minimize their value as human accomplishment. How is it the best geniuses of both fields of study are held up as example to motivate youth to stay in school while at the time the funds to motive participation are denied in the place were geniuses are born?  Schools! 

There have been many scientifically controlled studies by privately and publicly financed organizations to determine the benefits of sports, art, music, crafts and other creative pursues for our children. Allow me to quote myself from another article concerning student loan bailouts, "The greatest asset of a nation is its population. The best of that population is its youth. The bests of the best are the youth that have decided to attend college". Consider our level of success by only using the left side of the brain. What would the right do? That is exactly what lack of funding is asking us to do when our children cannot study music and the arts. 

The best fields of study that encourage the fountain of unrestricted creative magic to flow in our youth undoubtedly are music, sports, and the arts. The escalations of "ipod" sales, computer games, rap music artist, classical musicians etc. are all market indicators of how music motivates youth creativity.There is a dangerous and eerie mist of psychosis that creeps about when creativity is undermined.

Hilter's Germany undermined the creative interest of Germany's youth as well as denied the German people their creative magic and the country is still paying te price for that blunder. He ,Hilter, use music as propaganda  to farther political and racial divides only to be proven wrong when Jessie Owens and Ralph Metcalf won when Germany sponsored the Olympics.

Whether we adults like the creativity or not is irrelevant! Note it is from the previous "rock and rollers" that we have gotten our present computers, cell phones and other unimaginable electronic creations! Remember how approving our parent were of our choices? Perhaps the problem for us is that we are now the parents and our vision has become blurred.
