Man's life is but a short journey
Man's life is but a short journey,
where he walks briefly upon the earth,
wandering aimlessly paths of virtue and sin.
Earthly burdens weigh heavily
and consume vitality from birth.
grinding continuously the remnant within.
His rest, a shallow, lifeless bed,
where dreams of divine and distant lands
quell the thirst for erotic desires left unquenched,
His soul's depths now in darkness clothed,
where resides within the black abyss,
unknown even by those closest, lies tormented.

Another day has come my way as I crawl out of bed.
To face the world, society and work for little bread.
All these days
I am never quite sure where this life is leading me,
whether I am in control.
