Has anyone ever been paid by Associated Content?

Ever noticed that new websites just like the ones we love pop up all the time? For those that enjoy Helium these websites usually spark a big discussion on the forums about how interesting they are. However there's another website just like it on the Internet known as Associated Content that is similar to Helium.

Both of the websites have amazing communities of freelance writers, but have different design styles and features. Simply put if you write for one of these websites then you most likely also right for the other. Strangely enough some people doubt whether or not Associated Content actually pays its members.

Page Views

I write for both Helium and Associated Content, and yes they both pay very well if writers devote enough time to them. One of the ways that writers can earn at Associated Content is by receiving page views on their articles. Writers are paid around a dollar per one thousand page views, which isn't as hard as it sounds.

Upfront Payments

Another way for writers at Associated Content to make money is to actually write and submit an article that the website moderators like. Thing is those moderators are actually called Content Managers on the website, and they are the ones that decide how much a writer gets for their article.

Personally I've made some decent cash writing video game and anime reviews for Associated Content each equaling around five bucks apiece. The one complaint I do have about Associated Content is the content managers, at times they have no idea what the subject at hand is, and turn it down just because of that.

However if you're a writer then Associated Content is the second place that you should sign up at. Of course Helium would be the first choice, but I like to think that they go hand in hand. You can write articles for Helium and then post them on Associated Content as non-exclusive articles and earn almost double.

Contests

Both websites have great contests however I believe that Helium has better ones. The contests of Associated Content vary at times, but the main one is to become the best writer in the channel you write for most of the time, or even take a picture of a sticker from Associated Content in the most outrageous place possible.

On the other hand Helium contests are more complicated, writers have to actually create articles on a variety of subjects and beat out everyone else's to win and make the cash. Aside from that Helium writers can also compete in Journalism Award contests, which can be very challenging.

Overall there's no doubt that anyone can write and get paid at Associated Content or Helium. Both websites are great and shouldn't be overlooked just because you like the other one very much. I have made good money and both websites and have nothing but amazing compliments to say about both.
