Refresh Your Tired Eyes

We want our eyes to appear young and attractive; they are the part of our face others notice first. Maintaining beautiful eyes necessitates awareness pertaining to our body, which promotes health.

Our circadian rhythm informs our body that we need a specific kind of sleep to feel rested during the day. Not many people realize the amount of sleep gained before midnight is the most significant sleep they can attain; the rest of the night's sleep is important but not as critical. Our eyes take offence when they suffer from lack of crucial sleep. They tattle on us through puffiness and dark circles.

A good diet of leafy green vegetables, fresh fruit, fruit juice, cereal grains, nuts and seeds, along with drinking plenty of water will keep the skin healthy. Water is essential for the elasticity of our skin, which will defend our eyes and keep them beautiful. We can keep dehydration from our bodies by drinking 2-3 liters of water daily.

Experimentation with remedies designed to relieve puffy eyes and dark circles could supply just the antidote we need without an expensive visit to a physician. Finding cures leave claim to the fact that these conditions were caused by negligent care of the body, such as lack of sleep or poor diet. If no cure results from the research, then there may be underlying causes that perhaps might require a doctor's visit after all to secure a diagnosis.

Eyes suffering from puffiness and dark circles may be side effects resulting from prescribed medications, genetics, anemia, allergies, or from something as simple as aging; these could all be factors affecting the eyes' sore appearance.

Conduct experiments with the following remedies to see what answers can be found for your tired eyes.

Put a few drops of cold rose water on a cotton ball and gently massage the affected area around each eye 2-3 minutes to lighten the dark circles.

Make a paste by crushing a few fresh mint leaves with a few drops of fresh lime juice. Apply the paste to the dark area under each eye for 10-15 minutes every day.

Apply a mixture of almond oil and honey on the dark and puffy areas at bedtime; the long term results are said to be quite amazing.

The tannin in caffeinated tea helps reduce swelling in the tissues around the eyes. Refrigerate wet tea bags overnight and apply over each eye in the morning, for 10-15 minutes.

Apply either lemon juice or cucumber juice to lighten discoloration. Thin slices of cucumber placed over the eyes twice a day will often relieve sore, puffy eyes by cooling them.

Gently pat eye cream, containing vitamin K and retinol, around the eyes; leave it there for 8-10 minutes. This helps relieve discoloration and puffiness.

Some treatments work best when done daily over a long period of time. The sooner you treat the discovery of dark circles the better results you will have.
