Poetry: Silence

by Memee

Created on: February 14, 2009

Millions of snow flakes gently falling to the ground

blanketing the earth with out making a sound.

Star gazing from a hilltop on a warm summer night

all alone I stand beneath the bright moon light.

Trees gently budding as flowers peek through

the smell and the feel of a fresh morning dew.

Colorful leaves fluttering down from the trees

performing their last dance devoid of a breeze.

A conversation with God without uttering a word

silent comfort in knowing my prayer would be heard.

Silence in sunsets, silence as the moon rises in the sky

The sound of silence as yet another day passes by.

Silence in a look saying you're sorry and you understand

silence in your soft touch as you gently take my hand.

A world filled with noise from so many people and things

I love the warm feeling a few moments silence can bring.
