Seeking more confidence, healthier lifestyle and less pressure; all sounds great but where does one begin?

Look towards a scalp massage as a tactile bucket list. Having one may actually motivate you to accomplish the rest. Think fingers and palm pressure that stimulate, ease and soothe the acupressure points throughout the scalp. You must be relaxing by now, so it is easy to imagine that indulging in one will calm your stress level.

There are other promising perks that come out of a regular scalp massage treatment. The benefits of replenishing and rejuvenating are greater in conjunction with warm moisturizing oil. Use essential or aromatherapy oil twice a week with your massage.

Several features of this massage will hit a sweet spot once circulation hits the scalp. Your hair and essence will love you for it.

- Strengthens the roots of the hair and current hair.

- Nourishes the hair-shafts and roots, promoting new hair growth and may forestall hair thinning or loss.

- Spreading the oils to the ends of dry, damaged hair will prevent excessive brittleness and split-ends

- Scalp massage can get those brain cells stimulated for better thought processing.

- Chronic headaches or migraines may be relieved with scalp massage.

- Eliminates the blues caused by daily stress due to its relaxation affects.

- Itchy scalps may see relief with flaking and reduce chronic dandruff outbreaks.

Choosing massage oil for your scalp is a matter of personal preference. Many spa professionals advocate the following oils to help alleviate any minor scalp and/or hair problems.

- Almond or lavender oil works wonders for brittle hair that is prone to breakage and split-ends.

- Lavender is advised for thinning hair since its properties are said to stimulate the hair growth process while balancing oil production.

- Rosemary and coconut oil helps slow down the hair shedding process.

- Rosemary is said to stimulate hair follicles to produce new hair growth.

The technique for an oil scalp massage is simple. Indulge in one during your private time or make it an at home spa experience shared with a loved one.

- Pour some oil into a bowl placing it in microwave on a low setting for five seconds. The oil should be warm but comfortable to the touch.

- Part your hair with a comb and apply the oil little by little to different parts of your scalp.

- Work some oil along the length of your hair. Then, using the pads of your fingers, work the oil into your scalp, using circular motions as if shampooing your hair.

- Begin with slow rubbing motion to promote relaxation.

- Add more vigorous movement and pressure which will increase the production of key component of blood circulation.

- Take a towel, wrap it around your head after for 30-60 minutes. While waiting listen to soft music and apply a face mask.

Just shampoo out and see the glistening difference and a more positive outlook in your spirit and looks. You certainly will have a crowning glory.
