Whether we like to admit or not, Climate Change IS happening, and IS having impacts on every sphere of our lives and the planet.

There are skeptics who choose to bury their head in the hot sand whilst their posterior blisters with basal cell carcinomas, refusing to admit our generations and those of some of our ancestors have, in ignorance and lack of knowledge, created an inhabitable environment for the children we continue to have.

Firstly, we need to acknowledge this phenomenon is in action, and no matter how much action we take in our lifetimes, it will not go away due to the sheer volume of destructive gases already in the atmosphere. Do not, however, think this means we should take no action, as that would be a criminal offence towards future generations and all living creatures. Now that we have acknowledged this fact, let us look at how it is affecting each and every one of us. Be prepared to learn maybe some aspects you had not previously thought of, or took for granted as the norm, or just a one-off freak occurrance.

The one factor we spoilt baby-boomers and our offspring tend to overlook, is the effect on the latest generation and the need to teach them adaptive habits to armour them somewhat against the rising temperatures. We all too often choose to escape to air-conditioning, rather than conditioning our bodies to cope with greater heat. The worst thing we can do for our newer members of society is to molly-coddle them with false cooling devices, as they will never be able to cope in the coming decades without it.

Keep a spray bottle of water handy and spray the body, especially the head, hands and feet and let the breeze, not matter how slight, cool the spray. If possible, have a damp cloth in a bag to apply to the neck and face, as well as a water bottle to sip and rehydrate the body. These are very simple measures that are very effective in desert conditions of very hot and dry climate, therefore useful for future. Use hemp or pure cotton clothing, preferrably thin, that covers the arms and shoulders. Pure silk of a fine weave is also very cool and can be used to cover the body without over-heating. Other fabrics that are made artificially tend to overheat the body, causing unnecessary stress to an already stressful condition.

Not only are these simple tips sensible and inexpensive (these fabrics last a long time), but do not cost the Earth to create and by using them, the reliance on artificial cooling can be dramatically reduced, therefore saving
