So, you wake up in the morning with a smile on your face because you have a wonderful date tonight! You are wondering (still smiling!) what you will wear and what you will talk about on your date. But one look into the mirror and your smile just fades away! The reason is easy to see. It's your puffy eyes. And your date is just eight hours away! Well, let's be positive! You STILL have eight hours to fix those dark circles! So get set and try this step-by-step treatment to get rid of puffy eyes:

* Let's splash some cold water! Take out a bottle of cold water from the refrigerator and splash it on your eyes about 25 times. The cold water will help get rid of the dark circles by reducing the swelling and improving blood circulation.

* Let's try a slice of cucumber! Don't eat it. Place it on your eyes for 20 minutes. This will relax your eye muscles and also reduce the swelling under the eyes.

* Let's relax your eyes! If you were up late at night and did not get enough sleep, your eyes will be tired. Tired eyes cause dark circles. So, here's what you do to get rid of the tiredness. Rub your palms vigorously for about 30 seconds and place them on the eyes for another 30 seconds. Do this about 5 times. This will help get rid of the tiredness and relax your eyes.

* Let's exercise! Don't worry. You don't have to go to the gym for this one. Just sit straight. Press two fingers on each of your temples. Stretch the muscle a little. Open and close your eyes as quickly as possible about 50 times. This exercise will strengthen the muscles under the eye and also drain out the excess fluid.

* Let's apply an eye cream! Use an eye cream with Vitamin K. These eye creams will help in restoring the area under your eye and reduce the dark circles. Make sure to use very gentle pressure while applying.

* Let's tap the area under the eye! Since there is fluid retention under your eyes, tapping the area will drain out the fluid and reduce the puffiness. So, tap the under-eye area with your middle or index finger gently for about 2 minutes.

* Let's drink lots of water! When the body gets dehydrated, it begins to retain water in areas such as under your eyes. So drink at least 8 glasses of water. It will help prevent fluid retention under the eye.

This step-by-step treatment will surely get rid of puffy eyes. But if it's still not completely gone, don't forget to apply that concealer under your eyes. So, what are you waiting for? Get rid of your puffy eyes, forget about them, and get ready for your date tonight!
