Eating disorders explained

I was thinking today about eating disorders and how complex they are, how challenging to unravel, and how difficult to treat.

Or maybe not.

Perhaps eating disorders are not difficult at all. Maybe they're fairly simple.

Some people are "powerful wanters," as Abraham-Hicks terms it. They intensely want what they want. There's nothing wrong with that, for desires are good. No, they're more than good. They're wonderful. They pull life force to us and give us reason to be in physical expression.

But desires are difficult to manifest when a person is using only the "action journey." Contrary to common assumption, we did not come forth to create our lives primarily through action. Rather, we came forth to create our lives primarily through our minds. And then we take action to enjoy what we've already created through thought.

Through thought. Through thought. Through thought. This is really important hence, my silly redundancy.

But most people don't know this, so the powerful wanters may rely on action, and often that action becomes extreme, due to their powerful wanting. When a powerful wanter doesn't understand the importance of mentally focusing on what is wanted, they may rely on their fears of what is not wanted, such as fat, to motivate them. But they just can't get what they want (an attractive body) that way, for their focus on what they don't want keeps their desire at bay. (Howdy, universal Law of Attraction.) Then they work harder, with even more determination, to achieve their goals. Vicious cycle time.

Until powerful wanters line up with what they want by giving thought and attention to it or at least not giving regular thought and attention to its opposite their intense and vigilant work fails to bring them what they want. The harder they try, the behinder they get in achieving their goal of good looks.

Maybe it's just as simple as that in the case of eating disorders. Powerful wanters are determined to do whatever it takes to have an attractive body they just don't know that it's, say, 1% about action and 99% about thought. Even in the best case scenarios, they might have those proportions reversed.

Maybe there's nothing complex to unravel just a crucial universal truth to know: it's all about mental focus and then taking "inspired action" once the focus is consistently on the goal and not on its opposite.

Just some food for thought.
