Poetry: No regrets

I have no regrets for having you, my first born child

Today you are the number one reason that I smile

Only nineteen years old when you were conceived

I had my own life ahead of me , and I chose to let you breathe

I have no regrets for leaving my teen years behind

I knew being a young mother was going to work out just fine

I have no regrets for having my first born child

Today seeing you develop into a fine young woman makes me want to walk for miles

I have no regrets for having my first born child

You are the reason why I have climbed so many steep mountains

You are the reason I have sailed across the rough seas

You are the reason , why I chose life

Because of you my first born child was growing on the inside of me

I had to mature and be a role model quick

And for you my first born child - I have No Regrets

    Then also my heart's depression

    No regrets
    Over our break up
    That was just
    Breaking
    Our back bones

    Constantly throwing
    Flower pots
    That were not
    Growing
    In the sharing

    by James Mockridge.

    Disillusioned, yes,
    but no regret.

Optimism brought me to this place,
and where would I be if I walked in pessimistic boots.
