Verses 1 through 3 of Revelation chapter 18 described the coming down of mighty Angel from heaven, to announce the severity of the judgments of the world and the sinners. The angel declared the severe punishments of those places that embraced the demons behavior. Those who practice the demon's behavior, such as adultery, greediness, unfaithfulness and all other unrighteousness act will be punished as well.
Verse 4 through 8 of the Revelation 18, is the warning to all, not to follow and not to be influenced of the adulterous act so that you will not be judged. Heaven is tracking down all the sins committed by all. Therefore do not plague yourself with adulterous so that you will not experience the severe judgment - the weeping, the mourning and the torment, in the lake of fire. Those who plague himself with adultery will also receive as much punishment with the adulterer.
Because the adulterer is gone, everything sweeps away with her. No more travelers, merchandisers, buyers, shippers, for all these were swept away with the adulterers. The merchants who are selling the luxuries of the sinners will weep and mourn because no one will buy their goods. The buying and selling disappear as well as the merchants. (Verses 10 through 19).
When the sins were swept away and the sinners were judged, the Angel announced to the righteous to rejoice and celebrate, for the venom of sins are gone. God have judged the sinners and they were all gone (verse 20).
The Mighty Angel took a large boulder of rocks and threw it to the sea and everything destroyed. All the activities under heaven vanished. No more music, no more trading, no more buying and selling. No more marrying and divorcing. All the luxury of this earth vanished. Everything was led astray. What was seen was the blood of all who killed on this violent scene (verses 21 through 24).
In 1 Peter, verses 17 through 19 stating, Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.(read all 1Peter, verses13 through 25- Bible Gateway.com (NIV)). This is a warning to all of us how we live so that we will not judge as what the Revelation 18 was stated.
In the book of Romans, chapter 1, verses 18 through 20, we were also warned against the wrath of God. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine naturehave been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (Read all Romans chapter 1, Bible Gateway.com (NIV)).
If we listen to the warnings from the word of God, we will enjoy the river of life mentioned in the book of Revelation, chapter 22, verses 1 through 6. May the grace of God be with us all.
