direct opposition to conglomerates and will be more like what business was before most everyone with buying power became greedy. Then drugs were bought from the druggist, food came from the grocery, shoes came from a shoe store and while most did not get rich, most ate well and were content. Takeovers were unheard of and would not have been tolerated.

Employing Family Members

In the past, most members of a family were involved, in some capacity, in the business. This made good sense and because of it youngsters were afforded employment and were kept off the streets. They were needed parts of the economy and felt useful. /Many of course rebelled, and some parents overdid the practice of allowing family members to contribute to their keep by working, but by and large it kept families together, kept businesses small and manageable, and is an option most of us over the age of sixty-five will once again become a normal part of the business community.

Counseling Services

These options will come about on their own, or if they do, they will be, most likely, haphazard affairs. The world and especially the United States and the other high industry countries have long forgotten how once trading was done. Mom and Pop stores have almost vanished and big industry took over. Out of necessity to produce work, viable work, for idlers and drifting able bodies, some sort of work arrangement must be made. And who else but a person's own family comes to the rescue of those in need of some good old-fashioned counseling.

And those good at it and who have the educational background to understand what is taking place will be in need of sharing their information. Since they too will be in need of an income, they can hang out their shingle as a consultant. However this field of endeavor concerning both personal health and the health of the economy is carried out, it is, and will be for a long time, a much needed one.

Bring Problems to Work

What about those who are in need of problem solving but have neither the time nor the money to afford professional help? Allow this needy bunch to bring their problems to work. This certainly is a new idea. Bring your problems to work! You must be out of your mind. We have been told to leave our problems at home and devote our eight hours to work. Right?

What concerns us here is not the usual sort of problems that feed gossip mills but our concerns are real problems that affect business and are legitimate. Instead of problem solving by business concerns such
