Creativity is essentiallly making something new. In business and trading creativity is using methods and ideas not ried before, and finding fresh approaches to selling and buying. Creativity in trading is a wide open field beginning now. Confusion, inertia, lack of confidence in the tried and true and an overall sense of doom hovers over the business community. What is there to do? Those asking have several options: They can quit and join the rank of the desperate or they can revamp their thinking and start again. There is no way bartering goods for services, employing capable people to run factories, design office buildings, create the latest fashions, and in general, become productive citizens will go bankrupt.

In other words, the field of human resourcefulness tops the list and those able to generate workable ideas out of this chaos will be the leaders of the future. Possibilities are limitless:

Work Sharing

Work sharing is a noble idea whose time has come. When times were good and jobs were available, there was less desire to be benevolent; the depressed economy changes that. Therefore reality and reason are the order of the day and topping the list in this category is limiting items that only collect dust and take up space.

Examples of such items that can be safely eliminated from store shelves are novelties, exotic foods that are too expensive to import, perishable items and those with short shelf life. In fact, if worse come to worse, stores may shrink. Instead of mercantile and household stores selling food, furniture, flowers and whatever else they can undersell from grocery stores, furniture stores, flower shops and pharmacies, they will downsize and occupy less space.

This process will be in
