I do not usually play online games, but I once saw an ad for the then new Winster in 2007 while I was surfing the Internet and decided to try it. Winster is now my favorite gaming site and one of my favorite websites in general. Since then, I've upgraded to a Silver membership and then due to financial hardship, downgraded to a Basic membership, but my enjoyment of the site never wavered or changed in any way.

At that time, the site was awesome-there were no lags, no unexpected log-offs, just fun games to play in a community of people who not only wanted to earn points and redeem prizes for themselves, but also wanted to help their fellow gamers accumulate enough points to redeem for prizes. Winster offers a variety of games including, slot machines, Poker, and Bingo. It is free to join and a free membership offers free users 200 spins daily. Winster also offers three paid membership options-Basic, Silver, and Gold-in which a member receives 300, 600, and 1000 spins daily, respectively.

The games are fun and the main objective of the site is community in the form of helping one another accumulate points via trading game pieces. In the process, one can forge and facilitate friendships through online chatting while earning points redeemable for prizes such as Amazon.com gift cards and iPods, for example. Players can also purchase Day Passes as gifts for non-members, members who use their daily allotted spins and need extras to continue playing, and themselves when they use all their spins and wish to continue playing and accumlating points. These Day Passes grant the player who purchases the Day Pass (or the recipient of the gift of a Day Pass) 200 spins.

The drawbacks of the site-due largely to unsuccessful system upgrades and several changes in servers-include lags between spins and trades and unexpected site log offs that can be a nuisance and can often result in the loss of spins. In addition, those who are not members are susceptible to online ads that result in game delays, prompting gamers to pause playing while waiting for the ads to close and resume trades and playing . Despite the above-mentioned setbacks, the site is definitely worth joining and participating.
