Songs: Will our love last forever?

by Harvey Stelman

One day she took to the highway,

and I set sail out to sea.

With her pack on her back,

and her thumb stretched out far.

Wondering just what might be.

I traveled the waves,

and I followed to the stars.

Wanting to find my own way.

You can do things together,

when you're far apart.

It's something like planting a seed.

GUITAR PICKING:

You can look to the future,

but never the past.

You can look to the future today.

When you're all alone,

and you're thinking out loud.

You can look to yourself in this way.

GUITAR PICKING:

Then as one day would have it,

as I did walk by the sea.

Golden brown hair was filling the air,

and something just came over me.

I started to run to her quickly,

and as she looked my way.

Her mouth opened wide, and as she sighed.

I loved you more with each day.

GUITAR PICKING:

You can look to the future,

but never the past.

You can look to the future today.

When you're all alone,

and you're thinking out loud.

You can look to yourself in this way.
