Street lights shimmering in the winter cold
Shadows creeping down the alleyways
The pavement has stories it has never told
Stories of the ones it has raised.
The lonely boys

The lonely boys
The ruptured
The unloved.
Growing up on the streets in the snow and rain
Sparing for change, diving for food

Beaten by drunks
Harrassed by cops

Because we each had to survive
We each did what we could
In order to stay alive.
We were the lonely boys.
The lonely boys.
