A mother is a gift
Created in Heaven above
Sent down my God
To protect and to love
To raise a child according to God's plan
To comfort, to guide, and to lend a helping hand
You're here to lead me day by day
Until I am old enough to be on my way
But, even then I will still turn to you
When I struggle and need help to pull through
A mother is a friend
Until the end
But you, My Mother
Are unlike any other
You're special to me in ways unknown
Often times because I leave them unshown
But, Dear Mother, please let me say
I will always be your daughter
And I love you in every way
