Everyone wants to have that extra little boost during their workouts that will give them the a workout that was better than the last one. So what does one do to achieve such a goal, the old adage of "what we put in will result in what our output will be", cannot be any closer to the truth. Our bodies respond appropriately to the given fuel, eat big sluggish fuels and the body will respond in kind. Whereas when we eat fuel that is high-test, you will be amazed at the response from your machine.
Intake of some of the most natural of foods can do wonders. For high energy during workouts, a couple of tablespoons of honey mixed with granola. The old saying "an apple a day" is very true, especially at the start of physical training. This fruits combination of pectin and fiber is the right mix for a workout consisting of both light weight training and endurance training. Add some peanut butter into the mix before the session and watch yourself create new targets during your training.
A good rule of thumb to follow, the closer you get to the time that you will be training, keeping carbohydrates in the mix will allow the machine for the long burn during the training time. Provide the body with protein types of nourishment after the training which will allow the machine to recover and build towards the next workload. Consistent data of diets high in protein and fiber and low in saturated or trans fats have provided the top athletes in the world the energy to compete at global levels of competition.
OK, so we are off to the gym, how about good travel pre-workout food thats easy to tote. How about a celery stick with Laughing Cow cheese smear or a bowl of berries with a piece of string cheese. How about a million and 1 cups of portable yogurt varieties mixed with fruit or granola, wash it down with a cup of the goodness of phytonutrients in wheat-grass juice. Just the thought of it, makes me want to hit the gym. Let's not forget one extremely important, absolutely necessary intake, the intake of the chemical of H2O, more commonly known as water, natural water provides the body with the tools to move these important nutrients around it assists in cleaning our system from the toxins of daily life. Lastly, we should vastly take in clean oxygen to provide our cells with fresh energy, so that our bodies can continue to improve on a daily basis.
