"Back To Bedlam" is the debut album from the British pop singer and song-wirter James Blunt. The album came out in late 2005 and became a huge hit all over the world."You're Beautiful" was the third single from the album who brought him the fame in 2005.

As a soldier in the British Army, and the exposure of the horrors of strife and conflict in the war zone where he was inspired the emotional tenor of his work as an artist. The lyrics and melodies he wrote in his time as a soldier later he put them on his debut album, Back to Bedlam.

With a unique falsetto voice that fits perfectly with his acoustic guitar based melodies, Blunt creates a style that is parts folk, rock, pop, and indie, and eminently listenable. The first single from the album that James released was "High" who peaked below top 100 on the UK chart and didn't had the success that James was expecting. The second single "Wiseman" was a good success for him and maded to enter the Top 20 on the UK single charts. But as we all know in 2005 he released his best singe to date "You're Beautiful".The song debuted at number 12 in the UK, and rose all the way to the number one position six weeks after its debut. Also "You're Beautiful" helped the album to hit at No.1 on the UK album chart.

With this single Blunt became the first British artist to top the American singles chart in nearly a decade reaching number one on the on the Billboard 100 in 2006."Goodbye My Lover" was the last single from the album and it was released in 2006 reaching No.1 on the UK single charts. The album also maded at No.1 in the US and eventually was sold about 11 million copies and topped the album charts in 16 other territories worldwide. The whole album is a nice blend of pop, folk, and an original sound.Flute, piano and acoustic guitar lend to different songs each in a unique way, maybe that's why the album was a big success. In 2006, Blunt celebratied five BRIT Award nominations, going on to win Best British male solo artist and Best pop act categories.

In Britain the album was certified 10 times platinum and it was sold over three million copies, and entered the Guinness Book of Records for the fastest selling album in one year. All I can say this is the perfect album in our modern time. The Songs on the album are:"High" 4:03"You're Beautiful"3:33"Wiseman 3:42 "Goodbye My Lover" 4:18 "Tears And Rain" 4:04 "Out of My Mind" 3:33 "So Long, Jimmy" 4:24 "Billy" 3:37 "Cry" 4:06"No Bravery" 4:00
