As I began this new quest the fear begins to rise.
Turmoil and strife arises.
As the emptiness I felt is now filled with an unexplainable emotion.
My heart is in tune with my body.
I push forward knowing that the release will soon be over

The gentle sound softens my emotions.
I touch the new born life I've brought forth a feeling of warmth taking me over
The gentle touch

A soft cry
The release of the fear
A feeling of protection
I push forward knowing that I must save the life I created.

As you begin to grow I know that you are my world
You are my soul
The work is just beginning
As I move into the future, life my goal is to protect you
To teach you everything I know
Fear arises

Am I worthy
Is my love enough
Will you be all that you can be
Or will I fail
I must push forward knowing that one day you will be on your own
Fear enters my heart

Is this common
Or am I envisioning the worst
Life is harsh
Will my gentle touch
My firm hand
My loving heart be enough

As you began this new quest the fear begins to rise
As you move forward entering the world
The emptiness I fell is now teeming with a familiar emotion.
My heart is in tune with my body.
I push forward knowing that the release will soon be over

The gentle declaration of independence softens my emotions.
I am touched by life I've brought forth a feeling of warmth is taking me over
Your gentle touch, firm embrace
Brings forth a soft cry
I release my fear
Knowing that I will always have a feeling of protection
I push forward knowing that I have save the life I created.

You are the man I wanted you to become
Strong
Loving
Empathetic
Yet intelligent and clever
You are worldly
I made sure of that
My heart is in tune with my body

You will bring joy to many
As you step into the unknown world
You will bring love to those you touch
As you grow into your socitey
You will be a force to be reckoned with
You have declared your independence

I release you
It is your turn to push forward
To live with the knowledge that you can be what you want
To be successful
And to grow
On you own

Remember what you have learned
Never forget where you came from
The world is yours
Make your life count for something
Know that I will always be here for you
