Within My Heart

Within my heart, grows a love
that words cannot convey.
A splendid feeling deep inside
that time won't wash away.

When you are near, wants are few
my day is without strife.
You hold the key to happiness
of which I search in life.

I've tried to tell you of my love
in every caring way.
In songs, poems and friendly smiles
I offer you each day.

Within my heart, along with love
a fear I can't deny.
Afraid each time you depart
that it's your last good-bye.

Please tell me that you love me,
vow you'll never leave.
Stop the pain, fear and doubt
and make my heart believe.
