I truly believe that the $819 billion stimulus can only help us. People say that it will do no good for our economy and that we should invest in bigger business ventures to create jobs, but what are we going to invest in? Big corporations? 98% of our economy is made up of small business. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants etc. are what make up the working class and those are the people losing their jobs because there is not enough business to make money enough to pay their employees so they have to lay people off. People need the money to buy groceries, pay for gas and eat at restaurants (the dollar menu at McDonalds is cheaper than eating at home nowadays) and we cant do it when we don't have the jobs to make the money to spend.

The repbulicans think we should invest in big business and in turn create more jobs and let the money makes its' way down to us. What Ronald Reagan called the 'Trickle Down Effect', which is a great idea in concept, but it never worked and will never work because of the human element of greed. Instead of taking their tax cuts or extra money and letting it trickle down to us they horde it and keep it for themselves, lying and saying they are saving for future investments when they really just want it all for them selves so that they and their children won't ever have to work again. They think we should start at the top and invest in these corporate criminals who ruined our economy in the first place with their greed and their ridiculous idea that we as individual people don't know how to manage our own money like we are all idiots.

We should start at the bottom and let the money work it's way up. Let the people decide where our money is best placed. Only we know what we need. Republicans and the rich have no idea what the average person needs because all they are about is money. We will spend the money in stores and raise the increase for the need of workers because business is up. Those businesses demands for materials and resources will rise and that will create more jobs as well. We as the the people are the ones who actually run and control these companies, not people with money. People with money and their ridiculous ideas are the ones who ruined us in the first place. It is time for us to take back out economy. Corporations and big business are a small fraction of our economy and we don't need them or Wall Street to make this country work. We don't need their risky investments when we already have solid needs and know what
