Feeling empty

I used to feel so alone

In my morals

In my beliefs

Afraid that true love would never come my way

I was closed off, mostly from men

Afraid they would all turn out the same

Each guy would push me to the limit

Making me feel once again alone

I used to think my expectations were too high

I used to believe that no one ever wanted real love

Until I met you

You turned my life around

You respected my feelings

You brought me confidence

Helped me stand up for myself

And, you helped me be me

I used to think my expectations were too high

Until I met you

Now I laugh and I smile

I cry and I express my feelings

I speak freely and don't hide anything

Now, I found love; real love

All because of you
