Untitled
In every way,
I'm so confused.
Is it him,
Or is it you?
We were robbed of time,
And space.
Now here we are,
In this place.
We're standing still,
Is it coming true?
The world pauses,
Like a soundless tune.
Two hearts beating,
Yearning to press on.
Has the band,
Played our song?
You looked for me,
And I wasn't there.
In your heart,
I caused a tear.
Through the years,
I had thoughts.
Were we just,
A lesson taught?
Your wound slowly closed,
But there was still a hole.
Nothing would fill it,
Except my soul.
We were forced to end,
What hadn't began.
But there you are,
And here I am.
There's a wall,
No one can pass.
All it takes,
Is my hand.
Our lives have many pages,
Unwritten chapters.
I know what you crave,
It's my heart your after.
Life seems to remind us,
Of where we are.
And are forced to love,
From afar.
There will never be another,
And that's what you say about me.
Perhaps some things,
Just aren't meant to be.
How can this feel right,
But also wrong?
Who's to say,
We couldn't get along?
There will always be a special place,
You've played a certain part.
Deep in my soul,
Within my heart.
Close your eyes,
And simply dream.
Let me melt your worries away,
Like steam.
I sit here,
In the dark.
Wondering if there is,
Still a spark.
I'm not sure,
How I should feel.
Should I let go,
Or keep it real?
My mind is racing,
Until no end.
Do I want more,
Or should we just be friends?
All I ever wanted,
Was just one time.
Just a moment,
To make you feel mine.
In this life,
Is there a chance?
Or has our time,
Already passed.
I've never known someone,
To have feelings like you do.
You make me smile,
And feel special too.
I kept my feelings hidden,
Lost inside my chest.
Buried with the secrets,
And the unrest.
I always saw myself,
By your side.
With you,
As your wife.
But life's not fair,
It deals bad hands.
What happens next,
What's planned?
Do we hide our feelings,
And secretly love?
Or do we let it fly free,
As a dove.
Do we wait and see,
And ask God for a sign?
Do we wait for the answer,
This time?
No matter what happens,
Please know this.
Your name will always be,
Imprinted on my lips
