Taylor Swift, a young female pop-country singer and song-writer, became famous in the USA in 2006 when she released her first single "Tim McGraw", which peaked at number six on the Billboard Country charts.Taylor was only sixteen back then.

With this single Taylor promote her self-titled album.The album was a huge success in the US and peaked at No.1 on the country albums charts, and No.5 on the Billboard 200.From this album Taylor released four more singles, beside "Tim McGraw".The other singles were:Picture To Burn, Teardrops on My Guitar, Our Song and Should've Say No, who all maded to enter the Top 20 on the Billboard Country charts.

Because of the success of the singles, the album was certified triple platinum in 2008.But Taylor didn't stop there.In November 2008 she released and her second album by the name "Fearless".The album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.The first single was "Love Story" who became a hit on both the country and pop charts. "Love Story" alsohad reached number one on the Canadian charts.

"Change" was the name of the second single from the album and managed to hit on the Top 10 on Billoard Pop charts.Another track from this album, "White Horse" was included on the "Grey's Anatomy" soundtrack .Taylor announced at the 2009 Grammy Awards that the third single from the album leaves to be "Fearless", "Fifteen", "Hey Stephen", and "Forever & Always" as possible single choices. Swift's album Fearless and her self-titled album till now are combined sales of more than four million copies.

"Fearless" is the first album by a female artist since 1996, and by any artist since April 2004, to top the Billboard 200 in eight different weeks. It also the first album by a female artist in country music history to log eight weeks at No.1 on The Billboard 200.

In mid-January 2009, Swift became the first country artist to top the 2 million mark in paid downloads with three different songs.Like she said, she got the singing influences from her grandmother and the great country female singer LeAnn Rimes.She started writing songs and playing 12-string guitar when she was only twelve.

Swift began to regularly visit Nashville and wrote songs with local songwriters.When she turn fifteen she started to work on her first album, who like I said was a huge success. On age 16 she became the youngest staff songwriter ever hired by the Sony/ATV Tree publishing house.
