All award recipients are permanent residents of Florida Students. Students must apply for the award in either their junior or senior year. A minimum G.P.A. of 3.6 is required for eligibility.

The scholarship is worth $1,000 each year. It is awarded to single mothers attending the University of South Florida. Freshmen must have earned a 3.2 G.P.A; a 3.5 G.P.A. is required for transfer students. All students must be enrolled full-time and require financial assistance.

Scholarships are worth up to $5,000 and renewable each year. Non-traditional women who are single mothers, and in need of financial assistance, are given preference. The scholarship foundation requires that a two-page essay be submitted with the application. The essay should detail the student's education goals and how they expect their goals and sacrifices will benefit their family.

The Linda Blume award is available to disabled female students attending the University of South Florida. The award of $500 is renewable. Recipients must posses good academic standing in order to be recommended by the USF College of Education for consideration.

Prefe rence is given to females who are current residents of Destin, Florida. The program assists students who wish to continue their education in order to re-enter the work force. The foundation does not require the scholarship be repaid. Students do not need to have participated in any community service program in order to be eligible for the scholarship.

The mission of the foundation is clearly stated - TO HELP WOMEN ACHIEVE THEIR PROFESSIONAL GOALS.'

Scholarships are available to United States citizens who reside in Sarasota, Florida. The criteria for eligibility are as follows:

- High school graduates.

- Returning students who plan to study beyond the associate level.

- Students currently attending a trade or vocational school.

- Non-traditional students planning to re-enter the work force.

The award amount is $2,000 annually. Students are welcome to reapply for scholarship money each year but funding is not guaranteed. Proof of your official school transcript, a G.P.A. of 2.5, and three letters of recommendation must be provided to complete your application.
