The Courier

Black crow lighted upon the open porch

Could this be deaths' courier?

Carrying a solemn torch?

Cleansing wings from winters sting,

Somber symbols abound

What! Is the significance that this brings?

somehow it will be found

Crows all throughout history,

tell of dark dim tales,

most came in upon dreams;

many never failed

Whether death of a nation

or only one lone heart,

individual, or collective,

ominous from the start

Decadence of the spirit,

brings on men's' despair

Loss of truth, love of self

is in and everywhere!

When quest for truth fades away,

visions not upheld;

all is left behind,

the luminous spirit melts

So black crow's a warning,

it's evident to see;

to the nations of the world;

truth will set men free;

for in truth there is an order

within the universal plan;

preserving the whole alive

not just the one lone man!
