Let me ask you something, in the great debate over guns, do you think its people who kill people or guns that kill people? People right? Guns are just the tool. Well then why do you blame computers for your frustration when it's not the computers that program computers but people who program computers!
I've been working in the computer industry for over 20 years now and have determined, without a doubt, that it's not the computer that frustrates you, but the software or hardware, programmed by humans, built by humans, created by humans, that is the root of your frustration, the sour in your milk, the fly in your soup, the error message on your screen!
Take the blue screen of death for example, a byproduct of Microsoft, created by humans, designed by humans and written by humans! Not the fault of computers, don't you think that if computer had a choice they might have made the screen color green? Maybe even red or even pink?
Our greatest fear is not having a point of focus for our frustration. Buy your computer from Dell? Why can't you call them and speak to the president, vent your frustrations, blow you top and just tell the man "Hey Dude, this piece of junk is your fault, your problem, just fix it!" But you can't. Nobody can get that high in a company's management and "Vent their spleen."
But you don't have to be controlled by the great software developers of the world. You can correct the issue of our frustration, remove the software that id the root of your frustration, not the poor helpless computer but the human created software that stands at the top of your list.
Most computer users feel that with having a PC based computer, comes the frustrating requirement of using only Microsoft related products, Microsoft word, Excel, Access, and Outlook! But you couldn't be more wrong! Why pay $379.99 for Microsoft Office Professional when you can get OpenOffice.org 3 from this web site, http://why.openoffice.org/ and it does the same thing! And will even produce word documents, WordPerfect documents, and all for free!
How about our operating system, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, and now, the most recent terror, Windows Vista! Why do you have to be forced to buy your computer or laptop with Vista when Linux, a free operating software is just as good if not better then Microsoft operating system, can be downloaded for free from http://www.linux.org/ in the fact that it doesn't cost $200 but is 100% free!
