Creating a list of top ten sweets is as personal and individual as a fingerprint. No two fingerprints are the same, not even for identical twins, and no two sweet-loving humans will have an identical top ten sweets list.
Our favorite sweets reign supreme over our personal palette because we have an emotional connection to them. Certain candies, treats, and desserts evoke feelings of contentment and pleasure. Some sweet treats have the ability to surface powerful memories of childhood and a simpler and maybe even happier time of life. Other sweets bring to life moments spent with loved ones or friends. Yet others we simply enjoy because they taste so incredibly wonderful.
The top ten sweets that allow me a moment of deep contentment when their delectable sweetness touches my taste sense are as listed:
10. RED LICORICE (Red Vines or Twizzlers) A favorite to keep around the house when I need just a touch of sweet to get me through a long day. Great for those watching their fat intake, they are a fat-free food. Perfect to snack on when working on the computer because they are not sticky, crumbly, or otherwise messy, red licorice is simply sweet and yummy.
9. WERTHER'S ORIGINALS hard candies. These creamy hard candies are the perfect sweet to take along during your day. These gold-wrapped goodies fit easily into a purse or pocket and can be suckled and enjoyed at work, when driving, or simply whenever. With their rich, buttery flavor, Werther's candies melts in your mouth satisfying even the toughest sweet craving.

Not many places offer Chocolate Cokes anymore, they seem to have gone away like the Green River. In the U.S. the restaurant chain Steak-N-Shake offers a delicious Chocolate Coke. I am fortunate to live nearby a Steak-N-Shake as well as two other local "mom-n-pop" eateries that also make a fantastic Chocolate Coke.
7. CARAMEL. Ooey, gooey, goodness! Creamy, rich, buttery, and perfect on ice cream, pound cake, apples, pineapple, and even drizzled atop a latte, caramel is sweet perfection. The most versatile sweet on this list, caramel can enhance a multitude of desserts, is amazing paired in a chocolate bar, and is a taste sensation that can stand alone when you eat it out of the jar.
Store-bought or homemade, caramel is even a low
