VERSE 1

The light in her hair like reflections of gold

During sunset on the Causeway

Her stories are alive like the streets of Dublin

She whispers them in my ear

Like the winds of Silent Valley

And everything about her reminds me of Ireland

Of people who've loved and lost

And those who've given everything for freedom

It's a love for their people and a love for their land

That keeps them on their knees

Praying to God each night for peace in Ireland

Her bright red hair like the fire in the kilns

On the edge of river Erne

Her icy eyes are as blue as the waters of Shannon

The curves of her breasts rise and fall with each breath

Like the hills of County Down

And everything about her reminds me of Ireland
