Poetry: Advice for teens

by Pawan Alur

Created on: February 10, 2009

Work

A person with the age of fourteen

Thinking about his job in his teen

He studies for his exam

And tries to quieten his brother in a pram

He wants to be a engineer or doctor

not wanting to be a public worker

He knows the exam is not easy

but not wanting to be a farmer always busy

He thinks to himself and says

I'd like to act on a stage

I know the bangle seller has his own free will

but I'd be the person who makes a bill

He needs help from his parents too

thats what the elders do

His grandpa whose name is ming

says he must be a good human being
