I have an angel of my own. The Bible tells me so.
I have an angel just for me who sees me here below.
He stands before the throne of God and whispers out my name
to keep me always in God's thoughts and validate my claim
to be a very child of God, as safe as safe can be.
I love my angel and, I know, my angel does love me.
(written for my granddaughter Samantha on her third birthday.)
