To You It May Concern...
The car key's in the hallway drawer
I paid the rent last night
The cable guy comes Friday
(The picture isn't right)
There's laundry in the dryer
You'll smell it's got some mold
The thing that made it dry the clothes
Burned out (or so I'm told)
I vacuumed in the bedroom and
Sucked up some underwear
Wasn't mine, but that's just fine
It isn't like I care.
You didn't pay your ex this month
You missed the last month, too
She says she'll have to get the courts
To talk some sense to you
Your mother came down twice today
To sit and shoot the breeze
Filled her glass with bourbon (yours)
To help her achin' knees
That guy you sold the car to?
Well, he claims it up and died
It's parked out on the front lawn
And he says your ass is fried.
I think that's all for now babe
What else is there to write?
I m taking your last paycheck
And cashing it tonight
I'm going on a Greyhound
I'm on the way to Bliss
My payday, get away day
Kiss the dog,
Now her, I'll miss.
