I'm gonna spend my rent before payday

That seems to be the American way

No more waiting for payday

Credit card is the new way

Don't hold your breath until payday

I'll pay you back some other day

I'm gonna run out of gas before payday

If I can't get a loan before today

My boss never waits until payday

He's getting paid everyday

My wife takes my money on payday

I never seem to have a say

Payday never comes on holidays

Payday's here and gone by Friday

Taxes rent fuel and other days

Is taking up all of my paydays
