Belief in general is such a vague word when it comes to many things. However, the bible has a way of speaking to each and everyone of us, in it's own way. I have been raised as a believer in God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit since I was born. When I started to acknowledge that there really was a God, I was taught that whatever in life you question, the bible is your answer. At the age of twenty-seven I know I have strong desire for the Lord to be with me wherever I may go. I have learned from HIS word that through our many trials and tribulations we will be granted grace and favor as long as we put our trust in HIM.
For a long time starting from childhood; I have tried and tested the bible as an escape from this world. I say this to explain that when life really started to affect me, I couldn't understand how in HIS word he explains we all must suffer and be persecuted as Jesus, HIS son. Then, again, we are taught because of Jesus's persecution we are freed from sin.
Regardless, I want to be as plain and real as I possibly can. The bible in itself is not enough for some to just take and understand, then follow through. First we have to consider that many things were taken out of the bible due to man's ideas of what they think we should focus on. Many people are searching for ways to do the right thing spiritually, yet, and still there are so many unanswered questions that the bible alone cannot explain.
Over the past hundred years or so, the bible has been upgraded or changed from it's original version in order for many to comprehend. In those changes, we have to realize that translation, itself, can mean change of words. In that respect we have to realize that when change comes a whole other meaning may replace what was originally being told.
You have to look at the game we all at some point played, where you tell someone a phrase in their ear and let it go around a group of twenty people, by the time it gets to the last person it's a whole other phrase.
Do Not get me wrong I am in no way against the bible but you have to understand even in this day in age where there are different groups and/or organizations that look into the bible itself, to search for the truth behind the bible (Some who at times may be perceived as unbelievers); Many of things were found to be truth from the bible whether, it's an artifact or location of somethng from the bible. You have to look at consistencies when you read the bible in whole. Those consistencies, in my belief is what holds
