Poetry: Advice for teens

by Colum O Brien

Created on: February 09, 2009

Angel Child.

Thirteen steps upon your path, which weaves and winds before you.

Unseen days to live and love, with sunshine waiting for you.

Each new moment holds a truth, a softly whispered story.

A message carried on a breeze, a wish for golden glory.

Laugh a lot. See the good. Raise a smile.

Worry not; this world's yours, angel child.

Don't despair when clouds they gather, circling above you.

See the lining, shining through, in everyone who loves you.

Life's for living, breathe it deep, and throw your arms around it.

There's treasure buried everywhere, your heart knows when you've found it.

Laugh a lot. See the good, raise a smile.

Worry not; this world's yours, angel child.

Be true to you, believe in love, and strength will always find you.

Live for now, your futures bright, the past shall stay behind you.

Always hope, forever dream, there's magic there inside you.

Embrace your world with honesty, this universe will guide you.

Laugh a lot. See the good. Raise a smile.

Worry not; this world's yours, angel child.
