FOR AMY
Madness and melancholy
Woven together like the heartbeats of forsaken lovers
Smiles like death upon their faces
Somber and enticing, gracefully willing
To crawl naked unto the pleasures of flesh
Lulled sleepless by ecstasy
Awake in dream states, cruel and enchanting
Where beauty has no name, but loses itself in shadows
And pleasures taste like pain
To heaven and back, still her heart beats
Her essence stirs both sense and sentiment
My black pearl cradled by the ocean's waves
Lost within eternal twilight
A beauty all-consuming of my tattered soul
A priceless jewel that cannot be my own
That lust were such a bitter sentiment
Sweet in the making with a taste of the strange
Lingering in each farewell, tinged in melancholy hues
This madness that desire brings, as I crave her very being
So sensual, she is of all the world, the sweetest thing
