Relationship Pending:
Clean sheets. Communication
is a one-way street. The sign
between us says: No Talking.
It is better to be quiet, to be
right, correct, precise.
A cigarette on the balcony
is no escape. Sour breath
and a wine soaked tongue
are not the perfumes
of an elegant woman.
Your skin is leather. I stick
to the couch. Meanwhile,
television reruns
play the language
of a mirrored identity.
We've already
seen this one.
Can you crawl inside
to fix the broken parts?
Is that you bleeding?
Or is it me?
She is the girl
who loves someone else.
I am you. You are me. She is I.
We are the one's who break hearts.

Troubled relationships
Knives and forks
Going wrong in life
Pots and pans
Being thrown at
Each other
Brink of divorce
Brink of
First Night
Soft gentle light a glow
On my bed hunkered low
Sweat pants and socks scattered on the floor
Orange and white Garfield
by dislike
What Happened to Us?
Fair masterpiece painted behind the rust
Metallic mask of rain and summer’s dead
