Poetry: An evening with friends

by Esobelle

Created on: February 08, 2009

Intimate conversations draw me closer

hidden words expelled from dark places

Let Out

Intertwined yours mine theirs

Let them up

they hang in the air between us

Spider web of emotions

Just connecting not stifling

linking us like boats tied loosely in the rocky waters

letting us drift to and fro

steal chains and strong arms

aggravate my claustrophobia

but not your laughing eyes

Never your laughing eyes
