warm colors in early evenings sunshine golden light
splashing at will
not the indiscriminate blanket of BRIGHT SUMMER LIGHT
the warmth of this is precious
over ripened fruit is perfect
something about this moment
I feel brand new
I want to sing and skip like a child
bare foot in the grass I want to splash
but it's too cold
cold enough that my dog will run
and I run
pulling at straws small moments
until the winters refrain
