Poetry: Reflections

by Esobelle

Created on: February 08, 2009

warm colors in early evenings sunshine golden light

splashing at will

not the indiscriminate blanket of BRIGHT SUMMER LIGHT

the warmth of this is precious

over ripened fruit is perfect

something about this moment

I feel brand new

I want to sing and skip like a child

bare foot in the grass I want to splash

but it's too cold

cold enough that my dog will run

and I run

pulling at straws small moments

until the winters refrain
